DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT

BBQ Board by Holy Smokes BBQ Co

You can delete your data from BBQ Board at any time. There are two options depending on what you want to remove.

OPTION 1: DELETE INDIVIDUAL PRICE SUBMISSIONS

You can delete any price submission you made directly from within the app:

  1. Sign in with the Google account you used to submit the price
  2. Open the shop the price is attached to
  3. Find your submission in the list of prices
  4. Tap it and choose Delete
  5. Confirm the deletion

Deleted submissions are removed from Cloud Firestore immediately. Any price-tag photo attached to that submission is removed from Cloud Storage at the same time. The shop record itself is preserved, since other users may have their own submissions on it.

OPTION 2: DELETE YOUR ENTIRE ACCOUNT

To delete your account and all associated data from our servers, send an email to:

Subject: Account Deletion Request — BBQ Board

Include the email address you used to sign in with Google. We will delete the following data within 7 days:

  1. Your profile — display name, email, photo URL, and user ID
  2. All of your price submissions — every price you've contributed, along with attached notes and photos
  3. All of your submission photos — removed from Firebase Cloud Storage
  4. Any verifications you made on other users' submissions

This is permanent. Once your account is deleted, your submissions, verifications, and photos cannot be recovered.

SHOP RECORDS YOU ADDED

If you were the first user to add a shop to Board, that shop record itself is not deleted when your account is. The shop belongs to the community directory once other users have submitted prices for it. Your name is removed from the record; the shop remains.

LOCAL DATA

Data stored on your device (localStorage) is not affected by an account deletion request. To clear local data, go to your browser settings and clear site data for holysmokesbbqco.com, or uninstall the app.

WHAT WE KEEP

Nothing tied to you. When your account is deleted, all data associated with it is permanently removed from Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage. We do not retain backups of deleted user data. Shop records that survive have your submitter ID stripped.
